Hey, family, friends, and loved ones! Hope we were your favorite bloggers, because we were just crowned Best Cooks!!
We got to sleep in until 7 o’clock this morning, but the downside was that we all had welts from bug bites and were dripping with sweat. We are all pros at packing up our stuff; since it’s day 22, we all had extra time at the end to hang out before leaving the campsite.
After making a quick gas stop, we hit the jackpot with the flying Jay having a Taco Bell, Cinnabon, and good pizza. We all went crazy in the gas station because we had to eat our food before we got back onto the bus.
Today was another long driving day and breakfast consisted of ANOTHER bagel and cream cheese with a banana. Even though we were not allowed to eat snacks on the bus today, I’m sure people snuck lots of goodies while waiting for our lunch. Then for lunch, we switched it up and had a chicken salad sandwich with pretzels and exactly six grapes each.
After a few delays, we finally arrived at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. We walked around the museum as we waited for our short film. We watched a movie on a 360° screen. Then we had a tour guide guide us around the racing track and teach us a lot of fun facts about the history of Churchill Downs. After discovering that lawn tickets were roughly $160, we all decided that we wanted to go visit for the Kentucky Derby for a TWB reunion. Finally, on the tour, we got to see a true racehorse, whose name was Winner's Club.
We finally arrived at KFC after a long bus ride with people sitting in the aisles because of one of the vans breaking down. We had a few extra people crammed in the aisles of the bus so that we can make it to our KFC destination at a reasonable time as we got there we split off into our dwarf groups and practice for our competition after dinner. As we ate our dinner, we all also walked around the museum of the first ever KFC. Our food was delicious and many people got extra KFC hats to wear for the rest of the night.
After dinner, we had a short ride to the campsite where we started our skits, and each group performed a different talent to show all the different things that we have done throughout the trip. They ranged from things like singing songs and skits to game shows. As the Grumpys, we sang a song. The Dopeys also sung a song led by Amanda. The Sneezy held a game show lead by Noah. Then the Sleepys did a skit based on TWB who will you be. The Bashfuls did a fun trivia show to recap our trip. Finally, the Happys had an amazing Family Feud inspired show with a game show hosted by a Trump impersonator. We were pretty bummed about that, and they also won the whole competition for the trip, which was probably rigged. All of our talents were very well thought out, but the ones that were the best were the counselors. After we all performed, they reenacted funny moments of the trip, and it was a fan favorite.
It was Counselor Ian’s bday so we got him a card and the other counselors got him a record from KFC that he was eyingThe competition came to an end, and we all got our bags out of the buses and set up our sleeping areas on the Pickleball courts. After we finished setting up our beds, we all did our jobs as we were getting ready to pull an all-nighter. Even though we were asked to be asleep by 1 o’clock.
We had such an amazing trip and are so eager to see all of our loved ones at the pickup tomorrow at 5 o’clock!
Your favorites, the Grumpys signing off for Trip 2 of 2026
